Oman And Swiss Federal Office of Energy Ink MoU To Boost Collaboration In Sustainable And Renewable Energy

Undersecretary of the Ministry of Energy and Minerals, H. E. Mohsen Bin Hamad Al Hadrami, recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Swiss Federal Office of Energy to enhance cooperation in sustainable and renewable energy and its technologies.

The MoU focuses on green hydrogen projects, covering production, processing, storage, and consumption. It also involves the exchange of knowledge on laws, regulations, and policies related to sustainable and renewable energy, as well as integrating energy transformation value chains, trade rules, and certificates.

The agreement aims to foster collaboration between Oman and Switzerland in various aspects of sustainable and renewable energy, including research and development, energy efficiency, and decarbonization strategies.

H.E. Dr. Thomas Oertle, the Ambassador of Switzerland to the Sultanate of Oman, signed the MoU on behalf of the Swiss government. H.E. Mohsen Bin Hamad Al Hadrami emphasized that the agreement is a significant step towards achieving clean and sustainable energy goals, promoting innovation, and contributing to global efforts to address climate change.
